Hello!

I’m Jack, and you are?

Very nice to meet you. Welcome to the humble beginnings of my tyrannical comic empire. We’re gonna make Bezos look like a punk. We start in Southampton, UK (losing out on City of Culture 2025 to fucking Bradford), but before you know it, we shall be ruling from the Obsidian Throne on the Moon.

Currently active are the first issues of Milk Man and The Badly Drawn Adventures of Stickman & Stickwoman (BDASS for short).

Milk Man is my first superhero comic. It follows the adventures of Milk Man and the people around him as they navigate hero-ing in a modern era with really quite ridiculous powers. Milk Man can control anything dairy based. Milk, cheese, yogurt, he can manipulate the calcium in his bones to make himself stronger or make his enemies weaker. I’ve been working with local artist Leon Blaxter who has been a champ at putting up with my flakey correspondence. They wonderfully combine the bright, brilliant colours of old Beano / Dandy comics and adds a dash of fucked up hyper violence. Because, y’know, why not? I love it, it’s such a fun ride. Issue 2 is already in the works!

If you’re are impressed with the artwork (as you should be) and feel like poaching Mr Blaxter from me, just know that it’s pistols at dawn. Check out their other work: https://www.deviantart.com/mrblaxter

BDASS exists because I love writing and can’t draw. I’m also a big ol’ nerd who loves D&D and I had a stupid story in my head and thought: “fuck it, I’ll do it myself. We’ll call it a style and that’ll be that”. I’m like Thanos that way… BDASS follows Zid Stickman and Riza Stickwoman, a daring duo married to each other and their love of adventuring. They are freelance adventures and support smaller parties of heroes as and where they can. But an old friend brings them a job they can’t refuse… Hey! It’s like that really famous movie! Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest! Issue 2 is written and half drawn…
